Fishing 2023 with Father Figures:

Your Mother said don’t come home without some halibut. Fish & Chips anyone?

Not everyone was fortunate to grow up on a daily basis with a father figure in their home. Some were way at war, others travelling for the job, etc. However, often there was someone to stand in for the father figure. On Father’s Day, June 18, we’ll be celebrating all the ‘father figures’ – fathers, grandfathers, sons, uncles, nephews, associates, teachers, & mentors who have helped all of us along the way.

At the Rivers Inlet Sportsman’s Club (RISC), we have seen many father figures enjoy their bonding time with family, friends & associates. If you have not already booked your 2023 fishing adventure, do consider a memorable & fantastic trip with us to celebrate Father’s Day.

As you saw in our last newsletter, it’s as easy as 1-2-3 to book your trip & join us for our 40th Anniversary!
Now for a bit of housekeeping … If you need it to travel, check your passport expiry date. There needs to be at least 6 months left on it from your return date. New passport numbers need to be reported to Homeland Security/Nexus.

As many of our past & present guests are aware, we need all your information to print up your B.C. Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence for you. Who knew that your eye colour was so important on a fishing licence! If you have not already done so, please send your information & that of your fishing companions by going to our website & clicking Guest Registration. Please fill this out even if already you have a B.C. Fishing Licence.

Soon, we’ll be setting up for the season, it’s always an exciting but busy time. Next week we head up to Rivers Inlet to start to tow the lodge from its winter moorage in Sunshine Bay to Sportsman’s Bay just minutes from ‘The Wall’. We can wait to get out & test the waters for an early season trophy King/Chinook salmon. You’ll find many of our staff who have returned from 2022, waiting for you on arrival. Opening day is just one month away so the countdown in on!
