Fishing Report July 2019

Hi from the wilds or rugged & remote “downtown” Rivers Inlet! Things are in full swing here at the Lodge as we are in the midst of hosting our second group. It has been a fantastic start to our 36th summer season here at the Rivers Inlet Sportsman’s Club Fishing Lodge. The fish are biting, the sun is shining & the waters have been exceptionally calm. If you have not yet booked your 2019 fishing trip & don’t want to miss out on some fishing fun, then there is still time & we still have some select dates available.
It is as easy as 1,2 3 …
1. Coordinate your calendar with your family, friends & clients.
2. Contact Cathy Drew in our office in town to get our current availability.
P: 250-923-2689 / Email:
info@riversinlet.com.
3. Book your flight & hotel for Vancouver B.C. & you are all set.

As you are aware from our recent newsletters, the retention rates of salmon for our 2019 fishing season have not changed & it is status quo. The limit is 8 salmon to take home of which a maximum of 4 can be Chinook/King. Your daily limit is half that so 4 salmon/max 2 Chinook. The halibut limit is 1 per day & 2 to take home. There is a “slot limit” of the possession of 2 smaller halibut. Or if you get a big hali then the take home limit is 1. For more information on this click here.

The best fishing for the first groups of the season has been literally only a few minutes around the corner from our floating lodge right on the fishing grounds. Less travel time means more fishing time & the convenience of coming back to the Lodge anytime to relax, refresh & re-provision. The salmon fishing has been steady & we have seen more halibut & lingcod catching than usual. Of course, the meals are always thoughtfully prepared, plentiful & delicious. Our staff is second to none in their attention to our guests’ every need to provide that unique “Sportsman’s Club” experience that has kept guests coming back to fish with us year after year for the past 36 seasons!

Below are photos for you to enjoy, including one of some of the 2019 Staff. Missing are a few of our guides who were cutting fish as well as Chefs Geoff & Vance who were too busy in the kitchen preparing yet another amazing meal! Contact us today to book your wilderness fishing adventure of a lifetime!
