INFORMATION FOR BOOKING YOUR FLIGHT

  • Your destination is VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA.
  • Plan to fly into Vancouver International Airport (YVR) the night before your departure day. This is to avoid the possibility of any delays & the expense & inconvenience of you missing our early morning chartered seaplane flights to the lodge.
  • Our chartered planes start to leave Vancouver at 9:00 AM on your Sunday or Thursday departure day.
  • Check-in is no later than 8:30 AM.
  • On your return date you will arrive back in Vancouver around mid-afternoon. DO NOT book any flights out of Vancouver until after 6:00 PM. You need to leave enough time to for any flight delays & to get across to the main Vancouver International Terminal (YVR).

Our flights depart from the Seair Seaplane Terminal on the river near the Vancouver International South Terminal. This is only a 10-minute taxi or shuttle ride from the main Vancouver International Terminal & preferred hotels where we suggest staying. (See hotel information below). If you miss our chartered flight you will be responsible for getting yourself in to the lodge on the next available flights. Please note that this may not be until the next day & the cost is approximately $1000/person one-way to the lodge.

We highly recommend flying into Vancouver the night before your early morning seaplane flight to the lodge to avoid the inconvenience & extra expense you will incur if you miss your chartered flight to the lodge with us.

On your return date you will be back in Vancouver by approximately 3:00 PM. We recommend that you DO NOT book any flights out of Vancouver to your home destination before 6:00 PM.  This allows time for travel from the Seair Seaplane Terminal to the International Airport Terminal, check-in, airport security & any other possible delays.

Please note that most of our guests fly to the lodge on our chartered 90-minute direct flights from Vancouver with Seair Seaplanes. One of our plane loads of incoming guests transits on Pacific Coastal Airlines from Vancouver via Port Hardy on the Northern tip of Vancouver Island.
After a 75-minute flight to Port Hardy, you switch to a floatplane for the 30-min flight to the lodge.

Either way, you need to plan to spend the night before your trip date with us in a hotel in Vancouver to ensure that you don’t miss your chartered flight. There is very limited parking at the terminals so if you are driving to Vancouver plan to park at your hotel or nearby Park ’N Fly. Seaplane flights are weather dependent & may be subject to change. We have arranged preferred rates with the following hotels. They are located within minutes of the Seair Terminal and all have a freezer for your fish box. To receive your preferred rate, you must mention Rivers Inlets Sportsman’s Club when booking. This must be done directly with the hotel or you will not be eligible for the discount. Rates may be different if booking with a third party such as Expedia.
