EARLY JULY brought lots of halibut & salmon onto the docks. Simon's fishing clinic paid off & three guests caught a huge halibut at THE BEAN, not far from the lodge. They managed this all on their own... <...>

At last in EARLY JULY guests managed to get their photos taken with their fish. Zach's guest brought in these very nice salmon. <...>

Not only did Zach & Rory fish for salmon in LATE JUNE but went out a little further to THE BEAN. They hooked into a few halibut - (2) small ones per day, or (1) large one. <...>

Gosh, it's been such a great season & we haven't let you know. It all started in JUNE when we had the maintenance & rig-up crew enjoying fishing in their spare time. The Chinook/kings/spings were exciting to catch close to the lodge at The Wall. <...>

This time last year we were preparing the Sportsman's Club for the season after an almost three years pandemic break (September 2019 - July 2022). Apart from all the maintenance, our struggle was to teach the almost all 'new to the lodge' employees their jobs because most of our past employees had gone on to career jobs...This year, all the employees we invited back from the 2022 season are here at the Sportsman's Club & have worked exceedingly hard to prepare for our first guests of the season to arrive soon. <...>
