I’m pleased to report that our 31st fishing season at the Rivers Inlet Sportsman’s Club has been a successful one. It’s time to wrap up the 2014 season & tow the lodge to winter moorage across
Rivers Inlet into Sunshine Bay.
At this time, I want to thank everyone involved in helping the season run as smoothly as possible in our wilderness location. Particularly, we thank our guests for their graciousness when there was the occasional glitch & for booking with us at the Sportsman’s Club. Many guests have sent in comments on their experience with us & we thank you for this. We are always striving to be the best we can be.
The crew have been our greatest asset & are now on their way to their winter endeavours. At least nine of them will be back in school after the Labour Day weekend. Your generous gratuities will be well spent on tuition, books etc. Others in the crew will be preparing to return to their winter jobs or training for new ones. Our guest guides took leave from their regular occupations to help us out, & have over 100 years experience between them fishing on the Pacific NW coast. Simon also worked extremely hard from rig-up to rig-down &, according to the many emails we have received from guests, he did an awesome job.
Seair Seaplanes & Pacific Coastal Airlines went above & beyond to provide first class air travel into the lodge. Many, many companies provided us with exceptional service but there are too many to list here.
Last, but definitely not least, is a big note of appreciation to Cathy Drew our office manager/accounts who keeps things running smoothly all season when we are so busy at the lodge.
Soon, Simon well be sending you his season’s fishing report.
Please contact us soon to book your 2015 dates.
Thank-you to all, Barbara Kelly (owner/operator)
