After our recent trip into the lodge to do repairs & maintenance, we are more excited than ever for getting the lodge back up & running in summer 2022. My wife Stephanie & I left our home in Pemberton & booked a ferry to Vancouver Island. The first stop was lodge owner (my Mother) Barbara’s house in Victoria for a long overdue visit. School’s out and with graduation/prom, Canada Day/July 1st and Independence Day/July 4th behind us, now it really is officially summer! The weather certainly cooperated, maybe too much, with record setting temperatures in British Columbia these past few weeks. We hit an all-time high of 49.6 C/121.8 F in Lytton BC last week & it might have gone higher, but the entire town burned down the next day and the weather station was gone. [...]
